About this project
The project’s objective is to integrate Aboriginal art and culture into a residential program for Aboriginal people healing from substance use disorders.
In order to do this, the organisation will develop a formal, structured arts and culture component for their Gulgiwhen “Change” program that will support healing for their clients.
This particular grant application seeks support to design and cost an arts and culture program that can be applied therapeutically in a residential healing centre for Aboriginal people. The grant will be used to engage a Bundjalung consultant with local cultural knowledge to scope out a program and advise on annual running costs, cultural permissions and protocols, suitable content and appropriate facilitators.
